Dr Joyce Tyldesley

Dr Joyce Tyldesley is a Reader in Egyptology at The University of Manchester, where she teaches a suite of online courses in Egyptology. She is also an Honorary Research Associate of the Manchester Museum.

Joyce has published a series of bestselling books focusing on the women of ancient Egypt, including Daughters of Isis, Hatchepsut: the Female Pharaoh and Chronicle of the Queens of Egypt. Cleopatra: Egypt’s Last Queen was a Radio 4 Book of the week, and her most recent book, Tutankhamen’s Curse, won the Felicia A. Holton Book Award given by the Archaeological Institute of America.
