Our love of horticulture has a very long history and can be retraced for thousands of years from the elaborate gardens of ancient Persia to the spring bulb exhibitions at Keukenhof. We have combined the old and new with a chance to visit the prestigious RHS Chelsea Flower Show with its cutting-edge design and a day at Hampton Court Palace where the first small knot garden was laid out in the early 1500s by Cardinal Wolsey.
